Thank you for this. What a song. Springsteen writes so well when he’s got a film in mind.
The Academy has no idea what it’s doing.
Have you seen the movie yet? It’s pretty great – and I’m struggling to remember a more perfect marriage of soundtrack and film.
Just saw it last night. At the end of the movie, I couldn’t get up—I just sat and sang along quietly while everyone else left.
Randy the Ram is one of my favorite characters I’ve seen on the big screen in quite a while.
Jerry McGuire had a pretty good song on its soundtrack. So did Dead Man Walking, and Jonathan Demme’s Philadelphia. (But now I’m just being silly.)
