Andrew Sullivan links to a few of his old posts on Kerry v. Bush from October of ’04. Whatever one thinks of the man – my own favorable feelings have been somewhat diminished by l’affaire Palin – it really is fascinating to go back to a time when The Corner and The Daily Dish were still on speaking terms. Today, Sullivan rarely mentions Islamic terrorism. In 2004, the transcendent threat of the looming Islamo-fascist Caliphate was one of his favorite topics. What changed? Did Sullivan suddently become acquainted with the work of John Mueller? When future historians of the blogosphere go picking through our detritus, I hope they devote a few chapters to the Dish’s ideological trajectory.
